Pasta

In Italy, people eat pasta for lunch, not dinner. And they have just one plate followed by last night's leftovers. That's why there are over a million ways to make it and nobody gets fat.

There are four types of sauce: straight tomato, tomato with meat, cream sauce, and olive oil made with garlic and chili pepper. Northern Italians are famous for cream sauce since they're close to Germany, southern Italians make straight tomato because they're mostly poor, and we centralists make meat sauce because we have both money and a culinary distaste for Germans.

Read the overview and then get yourself started.
