Oil & Garlic Brussels Sprouts

This is an offshoot from oil and garlic pasta. Here we make the same sauce and use it to flavour Brussels sprouts. It’s a nice change from butter. 


In a small frying pan, fry:

  • 3-4 tbsp. olive oil,
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic (minced),
  • ¼ tsp. salt and ¼ tsp. chili pepper.

Boil your sprouts and mix together. Use only what oil you need, and maybe add more salt.


  • Cut large sprouts in half so they get more coating.
  • Drain well and give sprouts a minute to release their steam before mixing (you don't want things watery).
    This doesn't work well with all other vegetables. I tried it with cauliflower, and it sucks.
